Some food experiences in London

leave a comment »

I’ve abit of time before heading out to meet some of the exchange guys for the highgate cemetery tour so I thought why not do some blogging. πŸ™‚ This post is something that I’ve always wanted to do. The food that I had in London so far that really left quite abit of an impression! πŸ™‚ Yes, I’m taking a hiatus from the traveling posts. πŸ™‚ It’s early in the morning and i’m stuffed from breakfast, so no better time to do this!

Well, being a chinese away from home, I do love to have my chinese fix every once inawhile. I’m an avid fan of Dim Sum and it’s mandatory that I get my Dim Sum fix. 3 months without it is a nightmare. Thankfully for me, London is so cosmopolitan I get almost anything and everything I crave for. But before I go on and rave about all my chinese indulgence, let me go on a little about Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen. It was restaurant week and one of my fellow exchange classmate and I decided to give it a try. The food was good but I have to say it wasn’t exactly mind blowing. You see the problem of not blogging right after the event simply mean you’ll forget the details. Pardon me for my laziness at that point of time. I had a pork dish and the sauce was good but in my opinion a little too strong. I did enjoy the soup though. It was chickpea and potato soup with truffle oil. I mean, how can I not enjoy anything with truffle oil? πŸ™‚

Now, let’s move on to the highlight of this post. THE CANTONESE ROAST DUCK AT GOLD MINE. I don’t wish to start to debate of which roast duck is better, the one at Gold mine or the one at Four season because my verdict (for my own reference) is Gold mine for the win. πŸ™‚

Just look at that. I had been to Gold mine several time but it’s appalling that I only took the photo of this absolutely delicious duck ONCE. Gold mine’s rival has claimed their duck to be the best in the world but I actually prefer the one at Gold mine. Firstly, the one at four season looks and feel really unhealthy. The layer of fats is really too much for me to handle. The one at Gold mine, no doubt is really really fatty too BUT it feels healthier because the skin, fats and meat are nicely “fused” together unlike the one t goldmine where you can literally pull a layer of fats out. The fats of the duck at Gold mine melts in your mouth and it’s a SIN not to eat it with the skin. For those who know me, you’ll know I’m super weight conscious and Β for this, i’m putting aside my issues with my own weight. πŸ˜€ Another reason why I love Gold mine is that their other dishes are really good too. Say their thai sauce pork, Roasted pork, Egg fried rice, seafood etc.. .. Whereas the only dish I did think is worth it in four season, is the duck. SO.. Gold mine for the win. Their service is really good as well. πŸ™‚

Next up, Dim Sum in London. I’ve read and heard about lots of Dim Sum places in London but my favourite so far is still Royal China. Royal China in Singapore adopts an elegant tiffany’s theme with nice tiffany blue decors. The one in London adopted a more grand sort of theme with black and gold deco. They really do know how to spice up a good foodie experience with the atmosphere.

Β

I love their Roast Pork pastry and egg tart. With my choice of favourites, it’s pretty obvious that I’ve got a sweet tooth. πŸ˜€ I usually order braised eefu noodles with crabmeat as well but for this particular outing to Royal China, I was only with Priscilla. We were stuffed after these and probably 2 more dishes which I was too engrossed with eating to take a photo of. This was when Priscilla came over from Paris on the Eurostar several weekends ago. πŸ™‚ They don’t get such good Dim Sum fix in Paris! πŸ™‚

Finally, one for the Singaporeans that miss our local delights. Fret not, London has it. Although I’ve yet to find any Bar Chor Mee (Minced pork mushroom noodles) Β i did find a place that serve really decent Penang Prawn Mee and Char Kway Teow (Fried back noodles). It’s Hare and Tortoise! πŸ™‚ They serve Jap as well but each time I visit this place, I can’t help it but go straight to the section with the Prawn mee.

The Hare & Tortoise that I usually visit is the Bloomsbury branch which is located at Brunswick. Just a short 10 minutes walk from UCL. :>

Pardon the lighting but that’s Fiona, my Paris (take 2) companion this coming weekend. πŸ™‚ And Yep, that’s her Char Kway Teow. It’s really good too. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Now before anyone thinks I’m constantly indulging in good food, I don’t okay! I scrimp and save to splurge on a good meal every once in awhile (like going for good Persian food tonight at Olympia). EVIDENCE AS BELOW…

Saintsbury’s small salad bowl for GBP1.90 for lunch. πŸ˜€ And I hate it when my hair has centre parting. 😦

Amalfi Coast, Italy

with 4 comments

Scenic, very very scenic. If you love the sun and the sea, this is the destination for you. Of course, if you’re like me and love to have pretty photos with yourself in it, you’ll love it. Ya, my theory is that, since I’m neither pretty nor anywhere close to slim, the scenery compensates for it so, ta-da, you’ll get pretty photos.

Amalfi coast is a bus ride away from Salerno, Italy. So if you want to get there, you will have to take the rail to Salerno. The nearest airport to this beautiful place is Naples, which is awesome for their pizza so please do stop by for it! πŸ™‚ The restaurants at Amalfi Coast serve very decent seafood, considering it’s location. However, dont fall for the tourist trap and eat at those restaurants along the coast. I’m not saying that they’re not good but why not have something that the locals love? Look for Pizzeria al teatro πŸ™‚ It’s a hidden gem behind some staircase but it’s really not that difficult to find. πŸ™‚

And nope, no photos of food today because I’m hungry while typing this. Shall not tempt myself into any midnight indulgence. My Giotto supplies are in danger.

Now some update on London happenings, the weekend has been awesome and I’ve been to my very first winter market. Actually, I went to 2 in a day, both the one at Southbank where London Eye is and the one at Hyde Park. I have to say i prefer winter wonderland at Hyde Park for the atmosphere but the background of the market at Southbank is awesome. Located just beside the London eye and opposite the Big Ben and Westminister. Im lucky that the weather was pretty awesome when I was there. Big Ben looks really good at night. πŸ™‚ Photos another time because I’m definitely going to the winter markets again!

British Beer and Cheese Event

with one comment

Taking a break from the traveling post, let me blog about yesterday πŸ™‚ School on Friday usually involves 9am-5pm classes but there wasn’t neurobiology lab yesterday so I managed to meet up with fellow exchange students who are doing exchange in UCL Law School. πŸ˜€ Yesterday was the first time I’ve ever tried Greek Cuisine. Sounds exotic but I swear it was a calorie bomb. I was looking forward to a light lunch considering we are going to have lots of cheese and beer later in the evening but Mark suggested Greek and i decided, Why not!

Would love to name all of them for you but I really can’t remember their proper name (neither can I spell them! The three plates of mousse like stuff is 1. some yogurt but no, it doesn’t taste healthy at all, it’s creamy and cheesy, but I do have to admit I kinda like it 2. Hummus Β 3. FishΒ PΓ’tΓ© Β no idea what fish though but I really like this one. These were served with warm slices of Naan. Yummy.
Then there was this pork dish with red wine there alot of spices that went with this particularly cinnamon. Mark really liked this but I found the taste a little too strong for me.

There above is a tasting platter of assorted meat and grilled cheese. There was kebab, sausage and an assortment of other meat. I love meat but I never really had a liking for patty sort of meat. A little too salty for my liking but after a few bites I found out that they go really really well with the yoghurt. Beside that is Moussaka, my very first try at that too. It taste a little like lasagna but instead of pasta it was potato in between layers of minced fatty beef and tomato puree. Sinful but it was good. Then you see greek salad. No, greek salad is not healthy but it would be better if you leave the feta cheese out of it BUT it’s feta cheese, how can you exclude it!

Well, so I obviously had a sinful lunch and let’s just not talk about what I had for breakfast. We met up with Gabriel for the Cheese and Beer event at Brewer’s Hall located at Moorgate which is in the district of City of London, located in the midst of all the big banks.

Β
Β
It was really interesting to check out all the different sort of beer. The most unique beer I had prior to this was Lychee beer in Taiwan but here I tried Chocolate beer (but I was stout and being a normal girl, I really hate it although it was chocolate), honey beer, stinger beer (this one is interesting it leaves a tingling sensation in your throat), cranberry beer, Vintage ale, Ale where there’s yeast in it hence it is still fermenting (this one was disgusting), ginger beer and a crazy loads of other beers. That being said I admit I had hell loads of beer last night, a good say at least 12 glasses but I lost cost after awhile. Well, if beer isn’t fattening enough there was CHEESE too.

Yes there was goat cheese, cheddar cheese, assortment of brie, full fat cheese (which Gabriel insist smells like a farm, the name of it wasn’t appealing for me so I refused to try that) but of all the cheese my favourite was definitely white stilton with Mango and

Ginger. It was THE BEST cheese I’ve ever had. It had a crumbly texture the taste was just nice, light and very refreshing. the Cranberry was really good too. I am now on the search for where I can get my hands on those White Stilton with Mango and ginger because I can’t find them in Marks & Spenser or Saintsbury. 😦

The three of us decided that taking the photo which was supposed to show life of exchange students has to be taken. This was a follow up of a facebook image that has been spreading whereby different senarios depicting EXAM PERIOD was shown across the 3 University as well as SIM then someone who’s currently doing an exchange added one more to the series which says EXCHANGE showing beer glasses. Okay, although we did take this photo for fun, EXCHANGE is not all about playing! We do have to study and I’m currently freaking out! 7 more essays to go and 3 end of term test! I really hope I pass all my mods. Or at least, I BETTER DO.

It was really amusing because Mark was really high after all the beer tasting and he started to talk nonsense. This smart asses are actually pretty fun people! Alright, then we decided to end our sinful day by going all out. Headed to Le Pain Quotidien for desserts. I L-O-V-E Le Pain Quotidien. If you are in Brussels or in London, please don’t deprieve yourself of such indulgence. I love the warm belgium waffle. It’s the best waffle I’ve ever had and a must order whenever I go to LPQ.

Le Pain Quotidien originated from Brussels, Belgium. Don’t belittle that plain looking waffle! I was so disappointed by the waffle I had in Brugge, Belgium because it was nothing like the one served in LPQ. I like how delicious, sweet but not too sweet and warm. The ones that I found in Brugge were all waffles with lots of sauces like chocolate or caramel, ice cream or cream. There wasn’t much quality to the waffle itself. LPQ’s was light and quality of the waffle is fantastic. Probably one of the dessert I’ll miss the most when I return to Singapore. They go easy with the icing sugar as well. We had Fruit crumble too with fresh cream as well. Yum Yum.

The three of us are going to explore Highgate cemetery on Monday. It’s going to be interesting! OH and I’m finally going to visit the winter market at South Bank, London Eye tomorrow! πŸ˜€

Alright, I’ll continue with my traveling adventures at Salerno in my next post. πŸ™‚ There’s still so many cities I’ve visited that I’ve to share about, regret being so lazy at the beginning of all these. Not forgeting all the past experiences and foodie finds in London itself. Think Goldmine’s roast duck, Royal China’s Dim Sum, Po Luo Bun at Leiscester Square, Jamie’ Oliver”s Fifteen Restaurant, Camden market, Borough Market, Portobello market… Ahhh, this is making me hungry. Okay, that’s all for today folks!

Rome

leave a comment »

I LOVE ROME. Rome is one of the most beautiful city I’ve been to. It’s romantic and absolutely pretty. Everywhere is so scenic and the italians are just so spontaneous. I love it from the Colosseum to the Vatican City to Fontana di Trevi to Piazza Navona to Piazza del Popolo to the Pantheon to the beautiful river and bridges and to Fassi (the famous yummy huge gelato shop).

Vatican city is beautiful but what you have to do when you are there is to climb up to the Cupola. Yes you have to pay 5euros to do so but it’s worth it. Don’t be a chicken mcnugget and take the elevator (unless of course you are with a kid of elderly or suffer from injury). CLIMB UP. The experience is epic and the view is worth it. πŸ™‚

The skies are beautiful on the days when I was in Rome. Although it was really warm, I didn’t complain as much while I was in Rome. Okay maybe because I didn’t get any mosquito bites (until in Venice where i’ve got TONS).

The Colosseum where the entertainment in the past is at. They get free food and free entertainment and are seated according to their class. Basically it was to occupy their time so that they don’t have time to create trouble. The woman and the lower classes sit on top. :/ It’s amazing though, where they get warriors to fight lions. If I’m not wrong, the lions are kept underneath the stage for a really long time. So they are accustomed to darkness and when they are suddenly elevated up to the bright sun, they are sort of blind, which allow the warriors to tackle them. Smart uh?

As you can tell from the photos, it was really warm while I was there. The colosseum was a 5 mins walk from where I stay. Basically once again It’s really walkable. But I did like to commend the place I stay at. The staff was really friendly. It was a guesthouse but the room was really clean, spacious and pretty. The toilets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff took trouble to walk us through the city’s map showing us places that we have to go and recommended us as to where we should have our meals. Like where do the locals go and where to do the tourists go. I love their service, extremely homely. In fact, the staff on duty drove over to get us from the Metro. Perfecto! Oh yes, I stayed in Guest House Sleeping beauty. There’s a chain, there is snow white too if i’m not wrong. Snow white is near Fassi (the Gelato place) while Sleeping Beauty is near the Colosseum. πŸ™‚ But they are fairly near to each other.

If you were wondering, yes I did toss in a coin to the Trevi fountain and made my wish. πŸ™‚ But what the wish is, is for me to know and for you to never find out. πŸ˜€ The place is magnificent, apart from the large influx of tourist. I sat there for awhile watching people toss their coin and have their photos taken. Besides the weather was so warm it was nice to sit there for awhile and enjoy as the day go by. πŸ™‚

I probably mentioned Fassi a few times by now.

http://www.palazzodelfreddo.it/

Widest variety of gelato. I usually order Nicciolata when I’m at other gelato outlets. Chocolate and Hazenut how wrong can it be right? I tried a few favourites here and I love ALL OF THEM. πŸ™‚ Missing them so much now that I think I’m going to walk down to Gelato Mio to get myself a scoop later.

After Rome I headed to Salerno and took a bus to Amalfi Coast. Beautiful scenery. Look out for the next post. πŸ™‚

I’m finally done with my essay but it’s probably the worst essay I’ve ever written in my entire life. I have absolutely no idea what I was typing and it’s not even because I didn’t try hard enough but I really don’t get the point of the article I had to review. I’m worried about the originality report too because I don’t get to view them unlike in NUS where I get to see the originality report and make necessary changes. I am also only allowed 1 submission. So, being extremely nervous I went to check out the sample end of term test for this module and OH BOY, I BETTER START STUDYING FOR THE MODULE TODAY. It’s tough. 😦 Now I’m getting really worried. 😦

For something happier, I am going down to the O2 arena again later this evening to watch Nadal play Tsonga. Can’t wait. I ❀ Rafa. I’m absolutely missing Goldmine’s yummy roast duck at Bayswater too. Shall organise a meal with some of the other Singaporeans soon.

Venice

leave a comment »

Bucket List: Visit Venice before it submerged thanks to the expansion of water bodies and global warming. CHECKED. (Out of point but do you know sea water rise mainly because water of the sea expand due to the heat rather than the melting of the ice cap?)

When you think of venice what do you think of? Fat pigeons at St. Marks Square? Canals? River Taxi? Gondola rides? You’ve got them all right. When you visit Venice, you HAVE to go into Basilica San Marco. It’s so magnificent. Well, When I was in Venice, it was FREAKING HOT. It was still summer in Italy then and BOY, THANK THE ITALIANS FOR YUMMY GELATOS!

Rialto is a nice area to chill and relax. Just sit at the cafe and watch all the tourist walk by. It’s where most of the restaurants are located at too. In fact, the food at venice is pretty awesome and if you know ur italian cuisine well enough, you HAVE to try their Fish Zuppe. Basically in Italy, Fish actually refers to seafood. If you patronise Pasta Fresca in Singapore for their awesome possum Seafood soup, you can get your fix in Venice. πŸ™‚ Some Singaporeans wouldn’t enjoy the authentic pasta in venice because it’s really rich and heavy. But I’m sure you will find a pizza that you’ll like because it’s awesome. By the way, the Italians eat a lot. Moving from France to Italy, the difference in eating habits is apparent. Also if you visit the restaurant at our regular lunch/dinner time, fret not! There wouldn’t be a long queue because their lunchtime is probably at 3 and dinner at around 8? It’s far more ridiculous in Spain but who really eats at proper timing these days right? I really miss the fish zuppe. 😦 Well, I’m not that deprieved from good Italian fare anyway because just a 3mins walk from where I stay in London is an authentic Italian Restaurant (which is from Naples) that serve one of the best Pizza ever. Like Duh, Pizza from Naples. If there’s one advice I have to give to fellow Singaporeans out there who are visiting Italy (or the western countries in general) DO NOT order aglio olio if you like your pasta nice and spicy. Here, Aglio Olio simply mean pasta tossed in Olive oil. No, you’re not going to get garlic and don’t even dream of chilli padi or chilli flakes, it’s not going to happen. But DO try their Carbonara and different renditions of seafood pasta. πŸ™‚ I still prefer the pizza, the pastas are in general too heavy for me. 😦 If anything, my Italian adventures have made me realised how much I love the food served at Pasta Fresca in Singapore. They have an outlet along Bukit Timah, Boat Quay, Cuppage and Changi Airport.

Pardon my lousy photos but trust me the Fish Zuppe is yummy. πŸ™‚ So yes, the entire Venice experience was good. I had mental image of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp filming The Tourist while I was there. I love Β Johnny Depp. πŸ˜€ Like what I mentioned about Paris, Venice is extremely walkable. In fact, it was Venice which made me realised that. We were finding our way to Rialto and before we know it we were already at Piazza San Marco which was where we wanted to check out next. The only problem was the weather. It was asdjksfgh hot while I was there. I absolutely CAN’T BELIEVE I don’t have a photo of the Gelato I had in venice. It was my first gelato in Italy and it was a-w-e-s-o-m-e. The 2nd best I had. Wait for my post on Rome, I had my best Gelato there. πŸ™‚

Oh ya, and if you don’t already know, you can drink straight from all the water fountains in Italy! πŸ™‚ Saving grace in the hot hot weather. I realised I had been going on and on about food. Food gets me excited. Do check out the Basilica San Marco, the queue is worth it. The architecture is magnificent and prepared to be wow-ed when you enter the place. Look out for the ceiling, it’s made of gold!

Well that’s it for my update on Venice. I skipped school today to complete my essay. I better finish it by today. Okay, what am I talking about, it’s due tomorrow morning. I HAVE to finish it. 😦 But I’m currently looking forward to lunch because I’ve decided to treat myself to something nice in the neighbourhood. I stay in North London in this really nice area called Muswell Hill. There’s lots of good restaurants around and Marks & Spencer is my favourite place to stock up on my snacks or get prepared meals. M&S prepared meals are really good. Judging on what 7 11 offers in Singapore, I’d never think that prepared food can be this yummy.

And I snipped off my fringe last night when I got bored with writing my essay. I used to have straight bangs in 2008 (JC 2 days) and now, hello bangs again! My boyfriend’s not going to be pleased. He hates if when I cut my hair short or my fringe short. But it will grow out by the time I see him again. πŸ˜€

Alright, shall end the post with MY FACE (In Venice) πŸ˜€ Okay, bye! πŸ˜€

Paris

with one comment

Paris, which is the first European city I set foot on. (London is considered British land to me or at least the Londoners have made such clear distinction that they are British and not European, it kind of rub off me). Well, on my flight to London, I caught “Midnight at Paris” which I guess is an excellent way to start my journey. Paris is magical. I won’t say it’s my favourite European City (that will be Rome by the way), but it is definitely beautiful. The Eiffel Tower is just so iconic of the city that you cannot miss it. Being near it just gives the “woah, this IS Paris” feeling and when the tower sparkles, the moment was just so magical (the only problem was I was with the wrong company for such a romantic sight). It was the start of fall then and autumn leaves are so pretty. I just could not resist walking through the pile fallen leaves and hearing it rustle under my feet. πŸ˜€ So yes, Paris. I have to say that I am lucky to meet nice french passers-by and I surprisingly didn’t have any encounter with snobbish french men. BUT, i did have yummy french onion soup, steak, escargot and DESSERTS. πŸ™‚ Just typing this is making me salivate. I miss Laduree’s Macarons. Yum yum yum..

The must sees in Paris apart from the Eiffel Tower will be the Louvre Museum, which is an underground Museum but beware of the long queue, go early, beat the queue! Basically the entire area around The Lourve is really pretty, just walk around, you won’t get lost! If you do, the metro is everywhere. Then, there’s also the Cabaret shows with Moulin Rouge being the most popular one. My take on the cabaret show is that it’s interesting but not exactly the best value for your euros. If you really want to watch one though, why not try the Lido instead? It’s slightly cheaper. A walk down the River Seine just before the sunset is extremely therapeutic. Walking pass Notre Dame Cathedral and some other attractions. Basically Paris (or cities in Europe in general) is extremely walkable. All the attractions cluster around the area so you can just walk to your destination. Good way to burn off the yummy crepe or macarons too.

My Paris accommodation is a walking distance from Montmartre. You have to go up there. The view is awesome. Met up with Priscilla on the 3rd day in Paris. Had good authentic french cuisine with a good catching up session (y).

I visited the Paris Disneyland as well. Be prepared to stay for a good entire day there. I don’t know if it’s just the company I had but it wasn’t as spectacular as I expected it to be. Basically I did enjoy a few rides like the battlestar and the elevator fall but in general, I Β had better disneyland experience elsewhere. Okay, i’m pretty convinced it’s just the company I had but I’ll know when I return to Paris disneyland this december. πŸ™‚

I decided not to go on too much about my first visit to Paris because I’ll be taking the Eurostar over again in a week’s time with Fiona. πŸ™‚ It’s going to be an awesome awesome time. πŸ™‚ Met Fiona here in UCL, we were coincidentally in the same tutorial group for a module and it’s amazing how we can get along as if we’ve known each other for years when in fact, it’s only been about two months since I first met her!

And yes, i’ll be heading over to Paris for the 3rd time with my Sister, Mum, Cousin and Boyfriend. Have you not heard? Paris is the new Johor Bahru equivalent to Singapore. OKAY, I’m just kidding. Just that it’s really convenient to get there by Eurostar. πŸ™‚

ESSAY TIME!

Alright, I really got to get started on my essay. Priscilla was saying that some of us who have been updating our facebook with our traveling adventures are really giving people the wrong generalisation of everyone who’s doing exchange. Okay, guilty as charged. I need to stop uploading photos so often. Basically Pris is doing her exchange in a French University in Paris and her modules are taught in French. *GASP* Yes, so she’s doing stuffs like Neurobiology in French now and I’m super in awe of her. It’s bad enough in English!

Start of something new

leave a comment »

I should have done this months ago but it’s better late than never. A year ago, I would never imagine myself to be where I am now. 9544miles away from home. I’ve got to admit that this opportunity to be on an exchange in UCL has indeed been amazing. Apart from awesome weather for layering which I can’t possibly do in Singapore without making thinking i’m a weird child, the traveling that I’ve done here is really something I never though I’d be able to do till I’m much older. At the moment, I’ve visited several european cities including Paris, Venice, Rome, Naples, Amalfi Coast, Salerno, Munich, Salzburg and Vienna. For the UK, I’ve only been to Bath, Windsor, Manchester, Ellesmere port and of course, London. It’s been a good 2 months now that I’m away from home and yes it’s always nice to see and have Singaporean around. I will update my past travel experience in bits for the next couple of weeks and hopefully I’ll be able to document some of the lovely sights and memories in the past 2 months.

That being said, the 2 months haven’t been all smooth sailing. I have to admit that I miss home pretty much. Whenever you ask a Singaporean what they miss most about home, the answer is usually pretty obvious – food. I absolutely miss my ba chor mee sua and midnight roti pratas. Putting the gluttony aside, I miss my love ones back at home too. Calling home twice a week has became a habit and not forgetting the skype sessions with friends and of course, the boyfriend. Well, being here just helped me realised how important these people are to me. πŸ™‚ So, the first thing I’m going to do after dropping my luggage back at home is to head out for a good local food with awesome company. πŸ™‚

So anyway, last weekend had been really awesome. Caught a Musical at the Dominion Theatre at Tottenham Court Court called “We Will Rock You.” It was great. I’ve got complimentary tickets to watch it and guess what, it was a ticket for stall seat so the view was brilliant. I love the humor and how they engaged the audience, not forgetting the music which was fantastic. I mean, who on earth can’t relate to rock songs like “we will rock you” and “we are the champions”?

THEN, comes the highlight of the weekend. BARCLAYS ATP WORLD TOUR FINALS OPENING MATCH! πŸ˜€ After playing tennis for so many years, I FINALLY got a chance to watch professional tennis players live in action. Not just any tennis player but ROGER FEDERER. I love how he always play with such class. Not forgetting his good attitude and respect for the sport. It was a match between Federer and Tsonga. Once again, I had really good seats for this match as well. Sitting on Level 1, 4th row from the court. Just typing this is making me smile like a retard to myself. Oh yes, Nadal came into the arena to watch the match in the last half an hour. I’m sorry I sound so madly infatuated but I love the two of them. It’s sad I can’t get tickets to watch the two of them play against each other on Tuesday. The ticket prices for that match is insane.

My company for the the match.

Federer executing a serve.

I have tickets to thursday’s evening session match as well but I’m not sure who’s playing yet. πŸ™‚ Can’t wait! Only problem is, I don’t get such good seats this time. Money woes.

SO ANYWAY…

It’s the last 4 weeks of school in UCL now and my dearest mates in Singapore are having their final exams. So, now it’s pay back time for all the enjoyment I’ve had in the last 2 months – It’s essay writing time!
